What is a PPR?
PPR stands for Personal Property Return. If you are a licensed business in Oregon you are required to file a PPR with the county every year.
The term 'personal' has many business owners confused, but this is a business return filed with the county for all business assets & items that you use to run your business.
This includes everything from major items such as vehicles and machinery to computers, including office supplies.
Why do you need a PPR walk-through?
PPR can be inherently complicated to complete correctly because every county has different requirements as far as how the forms are completed and filed.
Additionally, the wide range of items that the county wants on the PPR form may not make sense to a layman. Therefore, it is easy to leave out items to miss value items or to fill out the form incorrectly.
If the county decides to audit your return due to inaccurate reporting, they will send out an auditor to your physical business location. The county assessors will then create their own list and return, where they will assess penalties and fees of up to 50% more than your original fees would have been should the original return be filed correctly.
Let GA help YOUR BUSINESS avoid costly penalties & fees by filing your PPR return correctly the first time!
